About Us
For 25 years, the MBA Challenge for Charity (C4C), a non-profit 501(c)3, has drawn on the talents, energy and resources of MBAs from West Coast business schools to raise funds and volunteers for the Special Olympics. C4C organizations are active at Stanford, the University of Washington, University of San Francisco, UC-Berkeley, UC-Davis, UC-Irvine, UCLA, USC, and Pepperdine. Our goal at C4C Pepperdine is to inspire and develop business leaders with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility. Pepperdine Challenge for Charity's mission is to support Special Olympics of Southern California and The Children's Lifesaving Foundation.
The Children's Lifesaving Foundation
The Children's Lifesaving Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to totally transforming the lives of LA's at-risk homeless youth and families!
By focusing on the clear-cut philosophy of providing the child with the basic foundation for a full, rich life, One-on-One Educational attention and college preparation, housing access for hard-working families still living in shelters, incredible recreational and outdoor opportunities, and sharing the Holiday spirit with their friends and community, the CLF has found its prime role in helping a core group of LA youth and families reach its most full, and best, potential!
Today, the CLF has served well over 50,000 children and thousands of homeless and low-income families in LA through our four collaborative programs!
Special Olympics Southern California
Special Olympics Southern California was established 40 years ago by Olympic decathlon gold medalist Rafer Johnson. Since then, it has empowered people with intellectual disabilities through sports training. SOSC is part of Special Olympics who serves 2.5 million athletes worldwide.
Pepperdine Challenge for Charity Chapter Leadership Team
Our goal this year is to make C4C the organization that every MBA student at Pepperdine is associated with and show our members how important their involvement is. An hour of our members' time can help a CLF child achieve his dream to get into college or a SOSC athlete learn how to swim, every dollar donated helps the two organizations provide the much-needed support to thousands of children and athletes in the Los Angeles area.
